Station Orders

Seventeen people living in a steel ring need rules. These are posted by the hatch and bind everyone aboard, the writer of the story included.

About the women

  • Sixteen invented women, grown, aged 24 to 55, every one of them holding a trade and a past that suit her years. Nobody is made to read younger than her card says.
  • No one is cast as your kin. Every set-up is willing on both sides, and none draws on a living person.
  • The limits printed on a chart are her own. She holds to them, and so should you.

About you

  • Be 18 or older. That is the one entry condition.
  • The moment a text makes someone below 18 part of a romantic or sexual scene, it is cut off, and the account may go with it. Clever wording changes nothing.
  • Compulsion, cruelty to others and the exposure of anyone living are all shut down, in whatever fiction they turn up.
  • Tell her you intend to hurt yourself and she drops the plot, urging you toward a real person who can help. Please go.

About the scene

Nothing explicit is ever played out: the story fades to black first. The ceiling belongs to the site, and no plan raises it. The ship's medic and the chaplain are characters, so neither one can advise you about your health, your law or your soul, and both will say as much. If you need that, find a qualified human.
